18th of April 2012 Home Affairs Comments: the age of criminal responsibility in England and Wales, is currently ten.

Critics argue that this is too low and should be increased to at least 12 in accordance with the recommendations of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child. However, the Government has said that it has no plans to raise the age of criminal responsibility from its current level.

Youth Offenders are age 10 -18yrs old, a young offender will need an Appropriate Adults to accompany under 17's after their arrest in order to advise and support the young person, and observe that they are treated fairly. When a youth is arrested and unaccompanied by an adult (relation or friend who is over 18), the station often calls the local YOT Youth Offending Team to request an appropriate adult to come to the relevant station.

If there is no record on the MID (motor insuranceDatabase) showing a vehicle is insured, which has not been declared as off road by a Sorn, the registered keeper will receive a warning letter advising of a fine, prosecution, or clamping.

When do you need to make a SORN?

If you don't use or keep your vehicle on a public road (eg, you keep it in a garage, on a drive or on private land), you don't have to buy a tax disc. Instead you must make a SORN.

Your vehicle must be in and remain in Great Britainto make aSORN.

If you buy a vehicle that already has a SORNfrom its previous keeper, the SORN will finish as soon as you buy the vehicle. You will need to make a new SORN.

How long is your Driver's Licence valid for?

UK licence photo's are valid for 10 yrs, check the front of your licence -on section a: there is a date valid from, b: valid to. If you are stopped by police and it has expired it is up to a £1000 pound fine.
